SxanPro Announces Women Owned Small Business Certification
Grand Rapids, Mich. (November 30, 2022) - SxanPro, a healthcare supply management technology company, announced today that it received the Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) Certification. The certification is issued by the U.S Small Business Administration and is designed to provide a level playing field for women business owners and help women entrepreneurs grow their businesses and access federal contracts.
A 2021 report found that less than 2% of enterprise software startups in the U.S have at least one female founder. Healthcare is positively impacting the growth of this number by increasingly starting initiatives that promote supplier diversity programs. This certification positions SxanPro to be a prominent partner with hospitals as they execute and prioritize supplier diversity initiatives.
SxanPro has experienced near-explosive growth in revenue since its inception in 2019. The WOSB certification will help accelerate future company growth as healthcare adopts more advanced technologies from diverse, entrepreneurial organizations like SxanPro.
“Some of the largest health systems across the country have doubled down on their commitment to increase their spend with diverse suppliers. One of the main reasons is to drive innovation and inclusivity throughout their organizations. Women owned businesses typically provide a different value in a different way and help diversify and elevate business practices throughout the value chain” says Ashlea Souffrou, CEO and Founder of SxanPro.
SxanPro’s patented mobile technology scans the medical device Unique Device Identification (UDI) code to capture manufacturer information on medical supplies and capital assets. By leveraging this technology, healthcare facilities are able to replace manual, time consuming inventory processes with quick, accurate scanning that provides critical data in less time, so facilities can handle excess inventory, re-align purchasing practices, free financial resources, and manage vendor relationships. The company partners with hospitals nationwide to reduce waste and recover resources throughout the supply chain.
